ROYAL EXODUS 2026: A Grand Opening Celebration of Sportsmanship and Excellence at Royal Public School

The vibrant spirit of sports, teamwork, and determination came alive at Royal Public School as the institution proudly inaugurated its much-awaited Annual Sports Meet – ROYAL EXODUS 2026 on Friday, 7th August 2026, amidst great enthusiasm and excitement. The grand opening ceremony brought together students, teachers, parents, and distinguished guests to celebrate the true essence of sportsmanship and healthy competition.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to the gathering, followed by the gracious presence of Principal Mr. P. J. Thomas, Administrator Mr. Blaize Joe Thomas, Mrs. Mini Ma'am, the teaching fraternity, parents, and the enthusiastic students of Royal Public School. The ceremony reflected the school's commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also physical fitness, leadership, and character development.

The programme began with the Official Hoisting of the Royal Public School Flag, symbolizing the unity, pride, and values of the institution. This was followed by the spectacular unveiling of the ROYAL EXODUS 2026 banner through a symbolic Pigeon Release Ceremony, representing peace, hope, unity, and the limitless aspirations of every young athlete.

Adding to the excitement, Administrator Mr. Blaize Joe Thomas officially unveiled the ROYAL EXODUS 2026 Sports Jersey, which symbolizes unity, discipline, and the sporting identity of every participant. The impressive jersey was received with great enthusiasm by students and staff alike.

The most awaited moment of the ceremony arrived when Principal Mr. P. J. Thomas officially declared ROYAL EXODUS 2026 open, encouraging every participant to compete with honesty, discipline, courage, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.

The students then solemnly took the Sports Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to fair play, integrity, respect, and teamwork throughout the competitions.

One of the highlights of the inauguration was the Torch Ceremony. The ceremonial flame was ignited by Physical Education Teacher Mr. Raju A., after which the torch was proudly carried through a symbolic relay. The flame was passed to the captains of Selaphiel House, Gabriel House, Michael House, and Raphael House, followed by the Vice School Leader and the School Leader, before finally being presented to Principal Mr. P. J. Thomas, who lit the ceremonial cauldron. The torch relay beautifully represented the passing of responsibility, leadership, unity, and the enduring spirit of excellence that defines Royal Public School.

The sporting action officially commenced with the inauguration of the High School Boys' Kabaddi Tournament, showcasing remarkable energy, strategy, and teamwork. This was followed by the Junior Girls' Tug of War Competition, where students displayed exceptional determination, strength, and unity, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Mr. P. J. Thomas inspired the students to pursue excellence with dedication, discipline, and perseverance while reminding them that the true spirit of sports lies not merely in winning but in participating with honesty, respect, and courage.

The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the management, staff, students, parents, volunteers, and everyone who contributed to the success of the event. The programme ended on a patriotic note with the National Anthem, marking the official commencement of the competitions.
